CMA Terminals is seeking a junior equipment engineer to join the local technical team in Algeciras, Spain, supporting delivery projects for container-handling equipment and transitioning to maintenance. The role reports to the Technical Director and spans design reviews, contractor supervision, commissioning, and operator training.

The successful candidate will also drive maintenance planning, lead equipment-improvement initiatives, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across terminal

Formación

• Master’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Technical skills in mechanical, electrical and structural engineering.
• Planning and project management skills are essential.
• Good communication in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Teamwork and autonomous work style are expected.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and supervise the delivery of container handling equipment (Automated Stacking Cranes, Straddle Carriers, Ship-to-Shore Cranes).
• Design reviews with crane manufacturers and end users.
• Appointment and supervision of a Third-Party Inspector.
• Project management and supervision of construction, testing, and shipment.
• Commissioning and final acceptance.
• Training of operators and maintenance teams; set maintenance plan.
• Manage improvement projects over existing fleet of equipment.
• Perform audits of maintenance organization and performances; deploy best practices.
• Implement projects to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assist Engineering team to supervise contractors’ maintenance works.
• Ensure all interventions comply with safety rules and port regulations.
