Applus+ Laboratories in Madrid is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to join the IT & CYBERSECURITY laboratory and participate in a wide range of technical projects, from evaluations following established methodologies to custom ad‑hoc assessments for clients, as well as contributing to internal R&D on new attack techniques, tools, and automation.

The role involves working with LINCE, Common Criteria and SESIP frameworks, collaborating with technology vendors to meet certification

Formación

• Education: Technical background such as Computer Science, Telecommunication or equivalent degree.
• Coding experience with Python / C / C++.
• Documentary experience with Git.
• Languages: Spanish and English (at least B2).
• Experience in the same position: 0-2 years.

Responsabilidades

• Gain understanding of cybersecurity requirements for products and customer facilities.

We are Applus+ Laboratories, the division of the Applus+ Group that provides testing, certification, and product development engineering services.

In the IT & CYBERSECURITY laboratory, we are accredited to perform a wide range of security evaluations for payment schemes, identification, and IT security.

We are looking for a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team and participate in a wide variety of technical projects, ranging from evaluations following established methodologies and guidelines, to custom ad‑hoc assessments for our clients, as well as contributing to internal R&D projects focused on new attack techniques, tools, and automation.

Essential job responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge of key customer's technological solutions
• Gain understanding of cybersecurity requirements for products and customer facilities
• Carry out security evaluations in different frameworks, such as LINCE, Common Criteria and SESIP, among others.
• Perform ad-hoc evaluations, subject to customer constraints and needs.
• Work with technology vendors to help meet security certification requirements
• Identify and resolve challenges to ensure certification project success
• Write technical reports and communicate effectively with customers, testing laboratories, and other stakeholders

To be considered, candidates must possess

• Education: Technical background such as Computer Science, Telecommunication or equivalent degree.
• Coding experience with Python / C / C++
• Documentary experience with Git
• Languages: Spanish and English (at least B2)
• Experience in the same position: 0-2 years
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Self-starter with a passion for professional growth
• Passion for technology and cybersecurity
