Applus+ Laboratories in Madrid is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our IT & CYBERSECURITY laboratory. You will participate in security evaluations, contribute to R&D on new attack techniques, and support customers with technical reports.

Ideal candidates have a technical degree, coding experience in Python, C or C++, knowledge of Git, and bilingual Spanish/English (B2). 0–2 years of experience and a passion for cybersecurity are welcome; the role offers a permanent, full-time

Responsabilidades

We are Applus+ Laboratories, the division of the Applus+ Group that provides testing, certification, and product development engineering services.

In the IT & CYBERSECURITY laboratory, we are accredited to perform a wide range of security evaluations for payment schemes, identification, and IT security.

We are looking for a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team and participate in a wide variety of technical projects, ranging from evaluations following established methodologies and guidelines, to custom ad-hoc assessments for our clients, as well as contributing to internal R&D projects focused on new attack techniques, tools, and automation.

Essential job responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge of key customer's technological solutions
• Gain understanding of cybersecurity requirements for products and customer facilities
• Carry out security evaluations in different frameworks, such as LINCE, Common Criteria and SESIP, among others.
• Perform ad-hoc evaluations, subject to customer constraints and needs.
• Work with technology vendors to help meet security certification requirements
• Identify and resolve challenges to ensure certification project success
• Write technical reports and communicate effectively with customers, testing laboratories, and other stakeholders

To be considered, candidates must possess
