Ambit Iberia is seeking a Junior AI Engineer to support practical AI use cases in cybersecurity and Threat Intelligence. You will work hands-on with Python, AI services, and enterprise data sources, contributing under experienced engineers.

This is an early-career role for interns or candidates with up to one year of experience. You will develop AI-powered components, build API integrations, and help move prototypes toward reliable applications.

Qualifications

• Internship experience or up to 1 year in software development, AI engineering, data science, automation, or related technical field.
• Working knowledge of Python and basic software engineering practices, including OOP, debugging and testing.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and external service integrations.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain components for AI-powered applications using Python.
• Build scripts, API integrations, prompts, and simple AI workflows for approved use cases.
• Prepare and process data and connect approved enterprise data sources.
• Support Retrieval-Augmented Generation and knowledge-grounding workflows.
• Write unit and integration tests and evaluate AI outputs for quality and reliability.
• Investigate defects and contribute to continuous improvement of AI solutions.
• Use Git and participate in code reviews and collaborative development practices.
• Support containerization, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities.
• Document implementation details, setup steps, limitations, and test results.
• Research relevant AI tools and contribute prototypes and recommendations to the team.

We are looking for a Junior AI Engineer to support the development of practical AI use cases within a collaborative engineering team, contributing to AI-driven cybersecurity and Threat Intelligence solutions.

In this role, you will work hands-on with Python, AI services, enterprise data sources, and integrations, helping move prototypes towards reliable applications under the guidance of experienced engineers. This is an early-career opportunity for candidates with internship experience or up to one year of professional experience who are eager to grow their AI engineering skills.

SKILLS

• Internship experience or up to 1 year of experience in software development, AI engineering, data science, automation, or a related technical field.
• Working knowledge of Python and basic software engineering practices, including OOP, debugging, and testing.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and external service integrations.
• Initial hands-on exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, or agent-based workflows through projects or coursework.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Basic knowledge of databases and data handling; SQL is a plus.
• Strong curiosity, willingness to learn, and structured problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Fluent English is a must.

NICE TO HAVE Service Requirements

• Academic, internship, open-source, or personal projects involving AI, Python, APIs, or backend development.
• Exposure to containers, CI/CD, cloud platforms, or deployment.
• Cybersecurity or Threat Intelligence knowledge.
• Interest in secure development, AI evaluation, data privacy, and responsible AI.

SCHEDULE

• 08h-17h from Monday to Friday (flexible)
• Full remote
