A global technology company is seeking a motivated Jr. Software Development Engineer for its Jr. Developer Program in Madrid. Interns will write real software and collaborate with experienced engineers, contributing to impactful deliverables. Candidates must be enrolled in a relevant degree program and able to work in person at the Madrid office. The program offers part-time work during the school year and full-time work during the summer.

Ready to build the foundation of your software engineering career in a growth-focused program? Amazon is looking for highly motivated students to join the Jr. Developer Program (JDP). As a Jr. Software Development Engineer (Jr. SDE), you will write real software and collaborate with experienced engineers who provide guidance and opportunities for ownership. As a year-round intern, you will be fully integrated into a team and regularly contribute to impactful deliverables. Your designs and code will help solve complex technical challenges at Amazon.

Program Highlights

• Part-time work during the school year (16 hours/week)
• Full-time work during the summer (40 hours/week)
• 1:1 mentoring with an experienced Amazonian
• Bi-annual performance reviews designed to support ongoing growth and development

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Bachelor's or Master's degree program.
• Graduating June 2028 and beyond.
• Majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Ability to work year-round until graduation (part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer).
• Able to start work in June 2026.
• Ability to work in person year-round at the Madrid corporate office. (This role is not offered remote or hybrid and all working hours must be in office.)
• Must be living within commutable distance to Madrid.
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, or C++ including object-oriented design.
• Previous technical internship(s), if applicable.
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
• Ability to solve complex problems and work through ambiguity.
