About the Role
10x.team connects expert freelancers with leading AI labs building next-generation models. We are looking for knowledgeable journalists based in the EU or UK to enhance the accuracy, depth, and real-world relevance of AI-powered journalism systems.
What You Will Do
Review and refine AI-generated outputs related to news reporting, editorial content, source verification, and the practical aspects of journalistic work
Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, newsworthiness, and compliance with real-world journalistic standards
Draft realistic journalism scenarios based on your direct professional experience
Create scenario variations from different perspectives (e.g. journalist, editor, source, or reader)
Identify gaps, oversights, or weak reasoning in AI-generated newsroom content
In simple terms: You will assess and improve AI-generated content, ensuring it reflects sound journalistic reasoning, authentic news documentation, and practical reporting procedures. Rather than conducting traditional journalistic work, you’ll apply your expertise to help AI systems understand and reason about journalism at scale.
Who You Are
A senior-level journalist with significant professional experience within the EU or UK
Experienced in advising on, preparing, and executing reporting and editorial assignments
Skilled at evaluating journalism standards, compliance, editing, and publication processes
Comfortable working independently and providing structured, critical feedback
Available for 8-20 hours per week, with prompt availability

2. AI Lab roles
For AI Lab roles, we scout, review, and approve profiles for access to future project opportunities.
The missions listed for AI Lab roles are not traditional job openings. AI Lab work is often highly confidential as this exposes information of what an AI Lab is working on, and project requests are unpredictable. When an AI Lab request comes in, we often need to respond within 24 hours with suitable talent.
Matching depends on the specific needs of each AI Lab project and your niche expertise. Once your profile is reviewed and approved, you may be matched to relevant AI Lab projects when suitable opportunities arise.
This can happen within hours, but it may also take months, depending on the researchers at the AI labs and their project needs.
