2K Madrid is seeking a Linguistic Specialist to contribute to the Global Loc 2.0 program. This entry-level, individual contributor role supports early-career linguists and translators looking to grow in the game localization industry, under the supervision of seasoned language leads and localization producers.

You will translate or edit in-game text and UI, follow style guides, collaborate with QA to review linguistic bugs, verify terminology, and participate in localization test passes for

Formación

• Native-level Italian with strong grammar and written fluency.
• Fluent English for reading, communication, and collaboration.
• Experience in translation, linguistic QA, localization coursework, or related fields.

Responsabilidades

• Translate or edit in-game text, UI strings, and basic marketing content from English into Italian.
• Follow established style guides, glossaries, and tone-of-voice documentation to maintain consistency.
• Collaborate with senior linguists and QA to review linguistic bugs and contribute to resolutions.
• Assist in terminology verification and updates of language resources under guidance.
• Participate in localization test passes for Italian and flag basic language issues.
• Review task briefs and submit questions or suggestions to more senior professionals.
• Track tasks and update documentation in XLOC, Confluence, Jira.
• Join team meetings to stay informed on localization strategy and priorities for Italian.
• Contribute to documentation improvements by flagging unclear instructions.
