A healthcare organization in Barcelona seeks an experienced Systems Administrator to manage Windows and Linux environments, ensure the performance of Azure cloud platforms, and lead digital transformation initiatives. The role includes responsibilities in cybersecurity, virtualization, and user management. Ideal candidates will have a degree in computer engineering, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and strong collaboration skills, with certifications being a plus. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Experienced IT professional with expertise in administering, optimizing, and supporting operating systems and virtualization platforms across the entire organization.

This role will report to the Business Operation Manager and will Lead operative technical support and digital transformation to the Business operations.

This role is designed to evolve as part of a structured career development plan, progressively incorporating responsibilities related to cybersecurity and data management.

Key Responsibilities
System support
  • Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Ensure the availability of Azure Cloud Platforms.
  • Design and deploy virtualization solutions using VMware or other platforms.
  • Monitor system health, perform updates, and troubleshoot hardware / software issues.
  • Implement security policies, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Maintain the cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Help Desk functions and technical onboarding plan.
  • Lead the technical implementation of artificial intelligence solutions in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Documentation & Asset Management : Document infrastructure configurations, maintain updated hardware / software inventory and standard operating procedures to ensure traceability and audit readiness.
  • User Lifecycle & Access Management : Manage user provisioning, permissions, and security groups through Active Directory and identity providers, ensuring proper access control and least-privilege principles.
  • Networking Administration : Administer switches, VPNs, VLANs, and wireless networks, ensuring segmentation, security, and optimal performance across the organization.
  • Backup & Storage Management : Manage and maintain backup solutions and network storage systems (NAS / SAN) ensuring data protection and recovery capabilities.
Systems Operations & Business Enablement
  • Security Governance & Compliance : Support IT compliance and audit processes (ENS, ISO27001, GDPR), maintaining security baselines, documentation, and alignment with corporate policies.
  • Change & Release Management : Participate in controlled deployment and change management processes to ensure system stability and minimize downtime.
  • Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery : Support the business continuity strategy by maintaining backups, redundancy, and disaster recovery readiness for critical systems.
  • Automation & Infrastructure Tools : Experience with automation and infrastructure management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, SCCM, or Intune to improve scalability and standardization.
  • Ticketing Systems / ITSM : Experience using IT service management platforms (Jira, ServiceNow, GLPI) to manage incidents, requests, and change tracking efficiently.
  • Lead initiatives focused on digital transformation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Support the deployment and integration of AI-driven tools to enhance decision-making, forecasting, and operational agility.
  • Salesforce Technical support and ensure seamless integration of Salesforce with other enterprise platforms, maintaining data integrity, access controls, and reporting capabilities.
  • Administration of external platform connections across the IT infrastructure to ensure the business operative.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience Systems and Virtualization Administrator Demonstrated experience in business operations, process automation, and systems integration. (International experience will be considered a plus)
  • IT Systems requirements :
  • Operating Systems : Windows Server and Linux
  • Cloud Platforms : Azure, AWS is a plus
  • Virtualization : VMware
  • Basic knowledge of firewalls and networking
  • Networking : VPN
  • Cybersecurity frameworks
  • Technical Certifications : Certifications such as MCSA, LPIC, VMware VCP, CCNA, or Azure Administrator Associate will be considered a plus, demonstrating validated technical expertise.
  • Hands‑on experience with Salesforce administration and AI technologies applied to business operations. (Oracle will be considered a plus).
  • Advanced Microsoft package : familiarity with BI / reporting tools is a plus.
  • High level of proficiency in English and Spanish.
