Role Overview

At ING Hubs Spain we are looking for an IT Risk (IRM) expert to join our Regional Information Risk Management Team in Spain (RegIRM-ES). The team provides direct IRM support to IRM Officers in France, Italy, UK, NL, Belgium, and WB, and supports Information & Technology Risk in the development and maintenance of the non‑financial risk management framework.

Information Technology (IT) – managing IT risks within governance, management, and security; IT Resilience – ensuring the availability of business services; Information Management – managing the lifecycle of information for stakeholder benefit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a trusted IRM advisor towards IT and business management in supported countries and towards other non‑financial risk specialists.
  • Create and publish strategic and ad‑hoc risk analyses, risk papers, and risk reports with fact‑finding, research, and documentation.
  • Perform parts of the functional oversight of the regional IRM community through QA reviews as part of our functional steering role.
  • Participate in, challenge, and periodically report upon the risks of key strategic IT programmes and projects.
  • Develop and maintain training modules and train Non‑Financial Risk (NFR) colleagues.
  • Support the Regional Head of IRM (RegIRM-ES) with research, fact‑finding, evidence collection, and documentation.
  • Support the Regional Head of IRM in reporting on IT Resilience risk.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of I&TR frameworks, policies, minimum standards, procedures, methods, and techniques.
  • Identify external and internal developments, initiatives, and threats; translate these pro‑actively into IRM vision, mission, and strategy for ING Bank and its branches.
  • Contribute to the identification and coordination of responses to law and regulatory changes, ECB reports, etc., and monitor follow‑up of regulatory issue resolution.
Qualifications

You are an expert in Information (Technology) Management with in‑depth knowledge of IRM and IT processes. You can advise on complex matters that concern senior management of ING Bank and its branches, and you act as a trusted IRM advisor who directs, advises, and supports the identification, analysis, and mitigation of IT risks that could compromise the security of information. You challenge and monitor IT risk management processes and quality.
