Job summary

Dedale Intelligence is currently seeking a proactive Investment Analyst to join our Madrid-based team. You will conduct in-depth research on software and technology firms, perform due diligence, and combine quantitative with qualitative insights through expert interviews.

You will collaborate with a high-caliber team of consultants and analysts to deliver impactful analyses used in multi-million investment decisions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research on software and technology companies.
• Perform strategic due diligence and financial analysis on publicly listed and privately held firms.
• Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights through expert interviews.
• Collaborate with peers and ex-Tier1 management consultants to support research.
• Deliver high-quality deliverables that inform multi-million investment decisions.
• Communicate research findings clearly to internal and external audiences.
• Grow within the team and take on increasing responsibilities.
• Daily monitoring of identified companies.
• Preparation of financial research, strategic screening, and materials for members.
• Lead interviews in English with professional experts.
• Support process improvement and new company screening.

Your Role

• Conduct deep fundamental research on software & technology companies
• Perform strategic due diligence and financial analysis on publicly listed and privately owned software & technology companies
• Leverage both quantitative and qualitative insights generation through expert interviews
• Collaborate with a strong team of peers and experienced ex-Tier 1 management consultants contributing to the research
• Deliver high-quality and valuable deliverables that will support decision-making on multi-million investments
• Communicate your research findings internally and externally
• Naturally grow in the team to take on more and more responsibilities and develop yourself as a strong professional
• Daily monitoring of the already identified companies
• Preparation of financial research and analysis, strategic screening, and communication materials for our members
• Leading interviews in English with professional experts
• Support on process improvement and new companies screening

Your Profile

Across the firm, we attract motivated, intellectually curious, and analytically rigorous young professionals who are passionate about learning and creating impact. It's highly likely you'll move forward in the process if:

• You are a Tier 1 engineering/business school graduate specializing in Business/Corporate business/Corporate finance/Engineering/Strategy
• You have 4-6 years of relevant experience in strategy and business (with several internships in finance/tech/startup or corporate company)
• You have excellent analysis skills and excellent Excel abilities
• You deliver strong verbal presentations and great slides to support it
• You have a strong strategic thinking mind - you know how to look for key inputs and do smart correlations
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English are a must. French, German, Spanish, or Italian language ability is a plus.
