BABLE Smart Cities is seeking a 6-month intern to join our Barcelona office, starting asap, to support advisory and Platform projects.

You will assist in consultancy work, support Horizon Europe Smart Cities projects, and help build a database of events and networks while researching the Iberian market and funding sources in a dynamic, international team.

Formación

• Experience in smart/sustainable cities or urban planning would be an asset.
• Strong research and market analysis abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools and independent working style.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in an international team.
• English and Portuguese proficiency required; Spanish desirable.
• Compulsory internship as part of curriculum preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Support consultancy projects and advisory work for Smart Cities initiatives.
• Assist in Horizon Europe projects and collaboration with cities in Iberia.
• Help build a database of events and networks in the sector.
• Research the Iberian smart cities market and funding sources.
• Evaluate European and national funding opportunities with the team.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to deliverables.

We are looking for a 6-month intern to collaborate on our advisory and Platform projects in our office in Barcelona, Spain (starting asap).

What will you do?

• You will support us in our consulting projects. Horizon Europe co-funded Smart Cities projects to supporting the acquisition and delivery of projects with cities in Spain and Portugal.
• You will help us to create a database with the most important events and networks of cities and companies in the sector.
• You will research the smart cities market in Iberia, as well as the most used solutions.
• You will evaluate funding sources for digital projects.
• You will evaluate European and national funding sources for innovation projects and accompany the team on building concept ideas to accompany European cities to apply for fund opportunities.
• You will collaborate on our consultancy projects.

What we expect from you

• Experience in the field of smart/sustainable cities/urban planning would be an asset.
• Critical capacity and ability to contribute to consultancy projects.
• Excellent research skills (market research, technologies, urban development, etc.).
• Good command of MS Office tools.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary team.
• A can-do attitude!
• Ability to work independently and to represent the organization in project meetings.

Your profile

• Several years of study or practical experience in a relevant field with very good results.
• Compulsory internship as part of the curriculum would be preferable.
• Professional level in English and Portuguese is mandatory. Knowledge in Spanish would be desirable.
