Our Avnet Silica team in Madrid is looking for an Inside Sales Specialist Apprentice!

As an Inside Sales Specialist Apprentice you will get a chance to kickstart your sales career while earning and learning. This is a hands‑on role where you will support the team combining inside sales and customer service to sell products, services, and solutions to new and existing customers through a variety of inbound and outbound multimedia communications (e.g., telephone, email, portals).

The Ideal Person
  • New graduates holding a University Degree (Bachelor's or Master's) or new graduates from FP
  • Good MS Office knowledge (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook etc ...)
  • Sales-oriented mindset
  • Communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Willingness to learn about systems such as SAP, ERP and order management
  • Willingness to work in an international environment
  • Eligible for an apprenticeship contract
  • Did not complete studies more than 3 years ago
  • Has not been employed under an Apprentice contract before.
What you will be doing
  • Deliver solutions or find new opportunities for a positive customer experience
  • Initiate and respond to sales inquiries
  • Promptly and accurately respond to customer information requests
  • Monitor / follow up on sales activities throughout the process from initial contact to order fulfillment
  • Work in a team environment, share sales efforts and strategies with internal resources and suppliers
  • Support customer requirements for inventories, delivery lead time, and unit prices
  • Acquire sales skills through work experience and formal training to perform daily tasks
  • Tasks are routine, repetitive, and manual in nature with minimal complexity or variation and specific to the job
  • Work is performed under supervision with detailed instructions. Priorities are provided for performing work
  • You will interact mostly with immediate peers within the assigned team. Based on the nature of the role, you may respond to requests from others in the organization
  • Other duties as assigned.
