The role covers design, development and integration of electrical systems for solar, wind, and energy storage projects, collaborating with project development, engineering, and construction teams. The ideal candidate has strong power systems expertise, grid connection experience, and hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD, PVSyst and ETAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering with renewables focus.
• Strong power system analysis and electrical design knowledge.
• Experience with grid interconnection studies and utility requirements.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, PVSyst and ETAP.
• Fluent in Spanish and English with strong communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple remote projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for solar PV, wind farms, and BESS.
• Specify electrical equipment including inverters, transformers, switchgear, cabling.
• Develop single-line diagrams, layouts, and specifications.
• Perform studies: power flow, short-circuit, grid interconnection.

Key Responsibilities

• Specify and select electrical equipment, including inverters, transformers, switchgear, and cabling.
• Develop single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, and technical specifications.
• Perform electrical studies, including power flow, short circuit analysis, and grid interconnection studies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, local grid codes), and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, civil/structural engineers, and external stakeholders.
• Support the procurement process by reviewing vendor proposals and equipment submittals.
• Provide technical assistance during the construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards and processes within the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a significant focus on renewable energy projects (solar, wind, or BESS).
• Strong understanding of power system analysis and electrical design principles.
• Experience with grid connection studies and compliance with utility requirements.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, ETAP).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
