AgileEngine seeks an Infrastructure Engineer (Kafka) to own and operate the Kafka estate behind an event-driven integration platform, including build, deployment, and monitoring infrastructure.

You will design topic schemes, ensure platform resilience, and implement exact-once semantics while advancing dashboards and cost planning across a global team. Remote-friendly with strong collaboration across sprints.

Qualifikationen

• Deep, hands-on production Kafka experience (4+ years).
• Entrepreneurial, SRE-minded with Linux and automation skills.
• Proficient in Python scripting and CI/CD ownership.
• Experience with Jenkins declarative pipelines and release management.
• Familiarity with containerized deployments and OCI images.

Aufgaben

• Own the Kafka estate: design, partitioning, replication, retention and broker config.
• Ensure platform resilience during upstream service degradation and scale traffic handling.
• Implement at-least-once and exactly-once semantics; dead-letter topics and replay tooling.
• Build streaming observability: lag, throughput, dashboards, alerts, SLOs.
• Plan capacity, cost and retention for durable logs with audit retention.
• Evaluate vendor streaming and CDC mechanisms for ingress/egress paths.
• Own and evolve build/release pipelines: Jenkins pipelines, packaged installs, signed images.
• Operate containerized deployments and runtime estate.
• Automate environment provisioning and maintain single source of truth.
• Collaborate with Python developers on deployability and cost.
