Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer/SRE to design, build, and maintain cloud environments. You will implement infrastructure as code, manage Kubernetes deployments, and strengthen observability with Grafana, Thanos, Tempo, and Loki.

The role requires hands-on experience with AWS/GCP/Azure, Terraform, GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), and Python scripting for automation. You will contribute to high availability and disaster recovery planning while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing and operating infrastructure on major cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Proven Terraform usage for infrastructure as code.
• Experience with GitOps automated deployments (ArgoCD/Flux).
• Production Kubernetes cluster deployment/configuration/management.
• Python-based automation for infra tooling.
• Experience with Grafana dashboards, Thanos storage, Tempo tracing.
• HA and DR architecture design and failover testing.

Responsibilities

• Provision, manage, and scale cloud infra using Terraform.
• Deploy and maintain production Kubernetes clusters with GitOps workflows.
• Write production Python code for tools and platform integrations.
• Maintain telemetry using Grafana, Tempo, Loki, and Thanos.
• Design, implement, and test HA and DR strategies to meet uptime requirements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer/SRE to design, build, and maintain cloud environments, including infrastructure as code, Kubernetes deployments, and the observability stack.

MUST HAVES

• At least 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating infrastructure on a major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proven expertise building and managing infrastructure using Terraform.
• Demonstrated experience using GitOps practices (e.g., ArgoCD or Flux) for automated deployments.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and managing production Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficiency in Python programming for infrastructure automation and tooling.
• Direct experience configuring and operating any of the following:
  • Grafana (dashboards and metrics visualization)
  • Thanos (Prometheus long-term storage and high availability)
  • Tempo (distributed tracing)
• Demonstrated background in designing and testing High Availability (HA) architectures and Disaster Recovery (DR) failover plans.

NICE TO HAVES

• Familiarity with additional languages such as Go (Golang) or Rust for cloud tools.
• Experience with Service Mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Cloud & Infrastructure as Code: Provision, manage, and scale cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• GitOps & Kubernetes: Deploy and maintain production Kubernetes clusters using declarative GitOps workflows.
• Automation Engineering: Write production Python code to create custom tools, automation scripts, and platform integrations.
• Observability: Maintain system telemetry using Grafana, Tempo, Loki, and Thanos for logging, metrics, and tracing.
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Implement and test HA and DR strategies to satisfy strict uptime and recovery requirements.
