THEKER Robotics is seeking an Industrial Design Engineer to design enclosures and structural parts for our robotic systems. You will work with a hardware team from concept to production, selecting materials and manufacturing processes to meet cost and performance targets, with a strong focus on durability and industrial aesthetics.

Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate, this 100% on-site role offers exposure to cutting-edge robotics, collaboration with electronics and controls engineers, and

Formación

• Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong command of CAD for mechanical design (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Creo or equivalent).
• Familiarity with 3D design and modeling software more broadly.
• Working knowledge of industrial manufacturing methods for both plastics and metals, including their design constraints and cost implications.

Responsabilidades

• Own the mechanical design of enclosures, housings and structural components for THEKER's robotic products.
• Design in CAD from initial concept through to manufacturing-ready files.
• Select materials and manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal, machining, casting) based on volume, cost and performance needs.
• Adapt each design to the functional requirements of its specific use case: protection, thermal management, assembly, serviceability and appearance.
• Take designs from a working prototype to full industrial-scale production.
• Coordinate with electronics and controls engineers to ensure designs integrate cleanly with the systems they house.
• Track manufacturing feasibility and cost throughout the design process, flagging trade-offs early.
