LHH seeks an Industrial Controlling Manager to lead corporate-level controlling, delivering independent financial views of industrial performance and driving standardization across costing and reporting.

The role partners with Operations teams at production sites, analyzes variances, and supports strategic decisions through robust financial and operational analysis. Strong SAP and BI skills are essential, with a long track record in multinational settings.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Controlling or Industrial Management is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Industrial Controlling in multinational environments.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the Industrial Controlling function at a corporate level.
  • Provide executive management with independent, data-driven performance assessments.
  • Partner with Operations to analyze variances and drive corrective actions.
  • Define and standardize product costing methodologies and KPI reporting.
  • Develop dashboards and automation for industrial reporting and benchmarking.
  • Engage with IT to deliver SAP CO, Product Costing, and Material Ledger improvements.
  • Support pricing, investments, and Make-or-Buy decisions with cost studies.

INDUSTRIAL CONTROLLING MANAGER
Position Summary

The selected candidate will lead the Industrial Controlling function at a corporate level.

They will be responsible for providing Executive Management with an independent, objective, and data-driven view of industrial performance, ensuring that operational results are rigorously measured, transparently reported, and continuously analyzed through robust financial and operational approaches.

We are seeking a professional with strong expertise in Industrial Finance, Product Costing, and SAP, as well as a deep understanding of manufacturing environments. A key aspect of the role will be maintaining a regular presence at production sites, working closely with operations leaders to gain first-hand insight into processes, identify improvement opportunities, and validate operational performance.

The position will drive the standardization of Industrial Controlling, key performance indicators, and corporate reporting models, contributing to operational excellence, business growth, and the integration of future acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities
Industrial Controlling and Operational Performance
  • Lead the Industrial Controlling function at a corporate level.
  • Provide Executive Management with an independent and consolidated financial assessment of industrial performance.
  • Act as the primary finance business partner to Operations.
  • Monitor industrial performance, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support strategic decision-making through rigorous financial and operational analysis.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances related to labor efficiency, machine efficiency, production volumes, scrap, waste, yields, downtime, cost absorption, and manufacturing costs.
  • Identify root causes of variances and propose corrective actions.
  • Constructively challenge operational assumptions based on financial and operational data.
  • Support pricing decisions, investment evaluations, and Make-or-Buy analyses through product cost studies.
Product Costing
  • Define and manage the corporate product costing methodology.
  • Lead standard costing processes.
  • Ensure consistency of costing methodologies across the organization.
  • Analyze industrial profitability by product, customer, production line, and operating unit.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the accuracy of costing models.
Industrial KPIs and Reporting
  • Design and continuously improve executive dashboards that provide a clear and concise view of industrial performance.
  • Standardize industrial reporting processes.
  • Drive reporting automation and data quality improvements.
  • Develop benchmarking methodologies to identify operational best practices.
  • Ensure consistency, transparency, and comparability of data.
  • Generate business insights that go beyond reporting and add tangible value to decision-making.
  • Collaborate with IT in the development of industrial reporting solutions.
  • Participate in the digital transformation of industrial finance through SAP and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Act as the SAP Industrial Controlling expert, leading continuous improvements in SAP CO, Product Costing, and Material Ledger.
Operational Presence and Business Partnering
  • Maintain a regular presence within manufacturing environments.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of operational processes through direct engagement with operations teams.
  • Build trusted relationships with operations leaders while maintaining an objective and independent perspective.
  • Validate operational performance by combining data analysis with direct observation.
  • Understand operational constraints, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support the identification of initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and profitability.
  • Actively participate in operational reviews and continuous improvement programs.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Controlling, or Industrial Management is considered a plus.
Experience
  • More than 10 years of experience in Industrial Controlling within multinational organizations.
  • Proven experience in complex and cross-functional industrial environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of Product Costing and Industrial Finance.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with Operations teams.
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation projects is highly desirable.
  • Experience in post-acquisition integration processes is considered a plus.
Technical Skills
  • Strong expertise in SAP CO, SAP Product Costing, SAP Material Ledger, and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Power BI or other Business Intelligence tools.
  • Design and implementation of industrial KPIs.
  • Industrial reporting.
  • Industrial costing.
  • Manufacturing variance analysis.
