SistelGroup seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to lead Ignition-based SCADA development and system integration on international projects in regulated industries. You will design, build and standardize Ignition solutions, collaborate with commercial teams, and mentor engineers while delivering robust digitalization deployments.

Formación

• Degree in engineering (industrial, automation, electronics, CS) or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years in industrial automation/SCADA or industrial software development.
• Experience developing Ignition projects (Perspective/ Vision, tags, UDTs, alarms, historian).
• Strong Python and SQL skills (SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL).
• Experience with OPC UA and connecting to PLC systems.
• Experience with Git and code reviews.
• Client-facing confidence to present solutions and estimates.
• Fluent Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel occasionally with the commercial team.

Responsabilidades

• Ignition and SCADA development: design/build Ignition apps, tags/UDTs, alarms, historian, gateway configuration and SQL scripts.
• Integration and communications: connect PLC/DCS to databases, historians, reports and cloud services; set up OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, REST APIs; ensure IT/OT network separation.
• Standards and reusable components: write SCADA engineering standards; build templates and libraries; participate in design/code reviews and documentation.
• New solutions and technical support: design technical solutions and prepare estimates; front-end engineering consulting and demos for clients; develop prototypes and train engineers on platforms and standards.
