ESK Recruitment LTD is partnering with a large international business to expand its IT Operations function. This role offers a hands-on start for a junior engineer to work with highly available NoSQL databases in a modern, global technology environment.

You will support deployment, monitoring and upgrades, participate in incident response and capacity planning, and collaborate with SRE, platform engineering and application teams. Hybrid work in Madrid or Malaga.

Formación

• 2+ years in IT Operations, SRE, database administration or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on exposure to at least one NoSQL technology (MongoDB, Cassandra or Elasticsearch).
• Good Linux administration and scripting skills (Python and/or Shell).
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or similar.
• Exposure to Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Understanding of monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimisation in distributed systems.
• Cloud certifications or knowledge of SQL databases would be beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Support the full lifecycle of NoSQL databases, from deployment and configuration through to monitoring, optimisation and upgrades.
• Help maintain reliable, scalable database clusters across containerised and traditional environments.
• Build monitoring, alerting and automation to improve database performance and reduce manual work.
• Assist with incident response, capacity planning, documentation and disaster‑recovery readiness.
• Collaborate with SRE, platform engineering and application teams on database‑related projects.
