Job summary

T-Systems Iberia, part of the Deutsche Telekom Group, seeks an Engineer to advance the T Cloud Public platform with a customer-oriented mindset. You will work on cloud backend operations, security, and automation in a hyper-scale environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware interaction, OpenStack, and infrastructure automation, plus collaboration in an international, flexible hybrid setup with training opportunities and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in a technical, engineering or scientific subject or comparable professional training.
• 6 years of professional IT experience focusing on Linux OS and modern cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of software defined networks, routing, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Anti-DDoS, WAF and physical networks.
• Extensive knowledge in infrastructure automation and Linux/network services/IT security.
• OpenStack experience is a plus and programming in open source projects is beneficial.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex problems in the daily operation of a hyper-scale cloud backend.
• Work hardware-oriented at the console and get hands dirty with systems.
• Develop and operate monitoring and quality assurance processes.
• Consistently automate using common automation frameworks.
• Collaborate in a team of specialists in an open, trusting environment.
