HVAC Lead Technician – Step into leadership

If you’re a solid commercial HVAC tech who wants progression rather than promises, this role lays out exactly where you’re heading. You’ll start as the lead tech, help build the HVAC division and step into supervising others as the team grows. Once you’re running the crew, the role becomes a salaried management position. No ceiling and no vague talk, this pathway exists because client demand is already there.

The employer is a long-standing Victorian industrial refrigeration and mechanical services company, operating since the 1980s with around 80 staff and a strong reputation across commercial and industrial facilities. They’re expanding their service capability after long‑term clients began requesting HVAC support alongside existing refrigeration contracts. This first Lead Technician hire is a key step in building a dedicated HVAC service division and shaping how it will operate.

The work

• Commercial service, maintenance and breakdowns

• Light on‑call roster as the division grows
• Mainly metro with the usual regional work when required
