REMOLCADORES DE PUERTO Y ALTURA SA is seeking a proactive HSE Supervisor to strengthen its HSEQ and operations teams. The role entails conducting site visits and audits, identifying and controlling occupational health and safety risks, and supporting high-risk operational activities.

Minimum 3 years in a safety/HSE role, formal health and safety qualifications, and fluency in Spanish and English are required.

Formación

• Formal qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
• At least 3 years of experience in a safety, HSE or operational safety role.
• Experience in risk assessments, workplace inspections and safety audits.
• Experience investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions.
• Good understanding of occupational health and safety legislation and risk management principles.
• Fluent Spanish and English.
• Willingness to travel regularly between locations (about 30%).
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Tarragona/Barcelona.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site visits/audits, safety inspections and operational assessments across different locations and activities.
• Identify, assess and control occupational health & safety and environmental risks. Carry out risk assessments and verify the implementation of appropriate control measures.
• Support operational and technical teams in the planning and execution of high-risk activities.
• Promote safe working practices and actively contribute to the development of a strong and proactive safety culture.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, awareness sessions and training activities.
• Lead incident, accident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
• Travel to operational sites and company locations when required.

Essential requirements

• Formal qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
• At least 3 years of experience in a safety, HSE or operational safety role.
• Experience working in practical, operational or field-based environments.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections and safety audits.
• Experience investigating incidents and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Good understanding of occupational health and safety legislation and risk management principles.
• Fluent Spanish and English.
• Willingness to travel regularly between operational locations (approx. 30%).
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Tarragona / Barcelona.

Desirable

• HSE qualifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent.
• Experience in energy, offshore, maritime, port or other high-risk industries.
• Experience with ISO management systems, particularly ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
• Previous exposure to maritime regulations or safety management systems is an advantage, but not essential.
