Job summary

UNIVERSIDAD POLITÉCNICA DE MADRID seeks a First Stage Researcher (R1) in Engineering – Aerospace to advance machine learning tools for predicting cardiac disease and CFD simulations. You will join a research group with a wide network of national and international contacts in academia and industry, contributing to innovative CFD projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration, leadership development, and effective presentation and communication. Fluency in English and Spanish is expected.

Qualifications

• Master in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
• High level programming in Matlab, Python and Tensorflow.
• High level knowledge of fluid mechanics, machine learning and modal decomposition algorithms.
• Experience with CFD solvers.
• Experience close to the research field. Previous publications and conference presentations will be valued.
• Languages ENGLISH Level Excellent and SPANISH Level Excellent.
