Live-out House Manager Opportunity in the Suburbs of Madrid, Spain

An exclusive private household based in Madrid is seeking an experienced, highly organised, and leadership-focused Live-out House Manager. This is both a managerial and operational position as well as a service-oriented role. The household already employs a dedicated butler responsible for service and hospitality although we require a manager with a hands‑on approach. The key focus will be the overall administration, household procurement, staff coordination, and flawless execution of property maintenance, renovations & operations.

The ideal candidate will be an autonomous leader with a strong track record of managing estate staff, supervising external contractors, and handling household budgets with maximum discretion.

Main Duties

• Staff Supervision: Overlook daily operations and manage the domestic team, specifically supervising the caretaker couple and additional household staff.
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Act as the primary supervisor for all external service providers, contractors, and specialized technicians.
• Property & Preventative Maintenance: Oversee maintenance schedules to guarantee the property is always maintained to flawless, high-end standards.
• Financial & Inventory Management: Manage the household budget, track expenses, handle purchasing, and maintain precise property inventory.
• Standard Implementation: Establish, implement, and maintain consistently high operational guidelines and service standards across the entire estate.
• Principal Liaison: Act as the central point of contact connecting the family, the domestic staff, and external suppliers.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Anticipate upcoming operational needs and swiftly resolve any issues regarding household management.

Candidate Requirements

• Fluent in English and conversational Spanish upwards (non-negotiable)
• Strong leadership skills combined with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Outstanding financial acumen for managing property expenses and household budgets.
• Absolute discretion, professionalism, and boundary‑awareness when working around a private family.
• At least 3 years recent Private House Management / Property Management or Executive Head Housekeeper experience within a HNW/UHNW luxury private residence
• Contactable referees from private families in recent positions

Benefits

• Salary is dependent on whether accommodation assistance is required, for those living or able to live in Madrid up to €80,000 gross per annum. For those that need assistance with accommodation from €50,000 to €70,000 Depending on experience
• Full time, 5 days a week position
