A global nutrition company in Barcelona seeks a Senior Account Manager to drive business and ensure client satisfaction. This role requires 10+ years of sales experience, a strong understanding of food science, and fluency in both Spanish and English. The successful candidate will manage key accounts, develop business strategies, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Travel is required up to 60%. Formación

  • 10+ years’ experience in Sales / Account Management.

About the role

The Senior Account Manager is charged with ensuring the proposition of all Kerry’s multiple Technologies and the achievement of the Company’s commercial strategic goals and safeguarding the image of Kerry in that market.

Managing CIA Key Account relationships within Southern Europe with a detailed understanding of Kerry’s technologies and strengths, and supported by Technology Centers, Marketing and Operations, this Senior Account Manager acts as an expert entrepreneur to maintain and identify new business opportunities and assuring the best-in-class service and the complete awareness and responsiveness to their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all relevant Kerry Technologies related to CIA
  • Stimulate Kerry brand enhancement to all CIA Accounts
  • Discover new market trends
  • Identify and prioritize new business and specific Key Account opportunities through the establishment of internal and external networks, and through the sourcing and application of good market intelligence
  • Utilize Kerry technical resources for assistance as required for the development of the Key Account business plan
  • Communicate on an ongoing basis on the business plan accomplishment, marketing and planning strategies, Key Account developments (including key projects), technical requirements and other relevant details
Customer Relationship Management
  • Gain a clear understanding of key account business and requirements. Coordinate the technical, marketing, and other resources necessary to meet or exceed these requirements. Introduce key Kerry personnel where appropriate
  • Ensure the key account is aware of Kerry’s organizational structure, heritage, culture, multiple technologies and strategic plans
  • Identify and create innovative opportunities with key account through market-driven presentations, insightful discussions and brainstorming sessions.
  • Build lasting relationships at multiple levels (sales, technical, operations) between Kerry and the key account’s organization in the pursuit of long term, sustainable and profitable business
  • Prioritize and manage key account projects in collaboration with the Technical Development teams
  • Ensure that key accounts’ interests are clearly understood and defended by the Technical Development and Operations departments (sample turnaround, production scheduling, order delivery, etc) to provide best-in-class customer satisfaction and service
  • Negotiate sales terms and conditions, variations in price, delivery and product specifications
Qualifications and skills
  • 10 + years’ experience in Sales / Account Management, where your technical capability has actively contributed to winning new business.
  • Third level degree
  • Experience in business development or selling in the CIA industry.
  • Good working knowledge of food science and how it relates to product development and its commercialization.
  • Strong negotiating ability with clients to achieve successful outcomes for Kerry.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Willing to travel up to 60%
