A multinational company in the industrial sector is seeking a Head of Customs to lead and coordinate their global customs strategy. The role requires at least 10 years of customs experience and fluency in both Spanish and English. You will ensure compliance with regulations, advocate for changes in trade laws, and drive success within the organization. Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills and experience in the industrial sector.

Formación

  • Minimum 10 years of customs experience and at least 5 years in the Industrial sector.
  • Knowledge of International Law, International Business, and tariff classification.
  • Proficiency in office applications (Excel, Power Point).

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and implement strategies for import and export activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations related to customs.
  • Advocate changes in customs trade laws and regulations.

Overview

For our client, a Multinational Company in the Industrial sector, we are looking for a Head of Customs who will lead, establish, define, represent, organize, and coordinate all Customs Strategy and Foreign Trade Operations Worldwide. Your mission is to fulfill their requirements in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring Compliance and with an optimal cost-benefit relation, within a Global, Ethical, and Legal Framework, aligned with the Corporate Global strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures for import and export activities, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Interact with regional / local country managers to develop standard practices and identify synergies.
  • Facilitate policy, procedures, and systems regarding imports and exports, focusing on Trade Compliance.
  • Support business plans for production, sales, and marketing in compliance with customs regulations.
  • Advocate changes in customs trade laws and regulations, representing corporate interests.
  • Develop staff and build alliances with managers and counterparts in the auto industry.
  • Contribute to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.
  • Communicate effectively with regional and global directors regarding identified risks and mitigation plans.
  • Support the development / implementation of best practices within the region.
Profile / Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Customs & Trade, International Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of customs experience and at least 5 years in the Industrial sector.
  • Knowledge of International Law, International Business, and tariff classification.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English required; Spanish Native and English C1-C2. Knowledge of Portuguese and optional French valued.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power Point.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on results.
  • Excellent communication, proactive, dynamic, and disruptive personality.
