SGS Madrid seeks an accomplished Senior Software Architect to lead the definition, validation and implementation of architectural choices for Cloud & Software Architecture (SWA) across the group. You will ensure high quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions, guiding the team with AI‑driven development and modern frameworks.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software and cloud architecture, strong leadership, and excellent collaboration skills in international environments.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in software architecture, cloud architecture and enterprise software development.
• Experience working in international and multicultural environments.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities for a Software Architecture team.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the definition, validation and implementation of architectural choices for Cloud & Software Architecture initiatives.
• Ensure technical quality, scalability, performance and maintainability of SWA solutions.
• Drive evolution of architectures toward modern technologies with AI-driven development.
• Manage, mentor and develop the Software Architecture team.
• Act as technical advisor to Head of Architecture & Technology on SWA projects.
• Define technologies, frameworks and tools for SWA initiatives.
• Establish development standards and architectural principles.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead thedefinition,validation, andimplementationof allarchitectural choicesforCloud & Software Architecture (SWA)initiatives across the group.
• Ensure thetechnical quality,scalability,performance, andmaintainabilityof all solutions delivered by theSoftware Architecture team.
• Drive theevolutionof existingsoftware architecturesand frameworks toward modern technologies, with a strong emphasis onAI‑driven developmentandGenAI-assisted coding.
• Manage, mentor, and develop theSoftware Architecture team.

Specific Responsibilities

• Act as the keytechnical advisorto the Head of Architecture & Technology on allCloud & SWA projects.
• Define thetechnologies,frameworks, andtoolsto be used across SWA initiatives.
• Establish and maintaindevelopment standards,architectural principles, andbest practicesfor application design and coding.
• Oversee thetechnical implementationof applications and providehands‑on supportto teams when required.
• Contribute to thedesign,development, anddeploymentof SWA applications.
• Periodically reviewtechnical processesandprocedures, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Lead thetechnical evolutionof applications to maintainperformance,stability, and business alignment.
• Provide3rd‑level supportfor live applications.
• Ensure compliance with theSGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Master’s degreeor equivalent inComputer Scienceor a related field.
• 10+ yearsof experience insoftware architecture,cloud architecture, and enterprise software development.
• Experience working in aninternationalandmulticulturalenvironment.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge ofAgile methodologies(Agile,Scrum).
• Advanced proficiency inC#andASP.NET 4.5.
• Strong experience withEntity Framework.
• Strong command ofSQL ServerandSQL.
• In‑depth knowledge ofMicrosoft Azurecloud architecture and services.
• Experience withGenAI‑based codingandAI‑assisted development.
