We are a fast‑paced tech group with international growth and active M&A. We are creating a Director‑level Head of Legal to elevate our group capability. You will lead Legal and Compliance, set strategy, and partner with senior leadership on M&A, corporate structure, and cross‑border matters.

Key responsibilities
Strategy, leadership & operations
  • Define and execute the group’s legal and compliance strategy aligned to business goals
  • Lead all legal activities across jurisdictions; build scalable processes and controls
  • Establish efficient contract management, governance, and compliance monitoring
  • Manage external counsel across markets and optimize panel/spend
  • Develop and mentor the team; set standards, priorities, and measurable outcomes
Consumer, commercial & product
  • Advise on consumer protection, e‑commerce, marketing, and digital contracting
  • Keep terms of service, privacy policies, and user agreements compliant and current
  • Support product/marketing on advertising standards, promotions, and consumer rights
Data protection & privacy
  • Lead GDPR and global privacy compliance; privacy‑by‑design for digital products
  • Oversee data governance, DPA management, cross‑border transfers, and incident response
Corporate, governance & M&A
  • Oversee corporate governance and entity management across multiple jurisdictions
  • Lead/support M&A and corporate finance transactions (DD, structuring, execution)
  • Advise on group legal structure; draft/review shareholder, investment, and corporate docs
  • Provide pragmatic guidance on strategic partnerships and reorganizations
Intellectual property & brand
  • Manage trademark portfolio and broader IP; software licensing and confidentiality
  • Support brand protection, disputes, and enforcement strategies
  • Identify and mitigate legal/compliance risks across operations
  • Handle pre‑litigation matters, consumer complaints, and dispute resolution
  • Design and roll out policies, training, and ethical standards; drive continuous improvement
What success looks like
  • 3 months: Assess current state; earn trust; stabilize key matters; set 12‑month roadmap
  • 6 months: Upgraded contracting and compliance processes; visible strategic impact on deals
  • 12 months: Legal operating at director level with scalable frameworks; strong stakeholder satisfaction; team performing with clear KPIs
Must‑have qualifications
  • Law degree and bar qualification in Spain or another EU jurisdiction
  • 10+ years PQE in tech/digital environments; fintech exposure is a plus
  • Proven M&A track record (end‑to‑end) and corporate legal/structuring expertise
  • Multi‑jurisdiction experience; Spain + international matters
  • Fluent Spanish and strong English
  • Leadership of legal teams and managers; ability to elevate standards and challenge assumptions
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with commercial, pragmatic judgment
  • Experience scaling legal in fast‑growth/scale‑ups
  • Combination of top law firm training and in‑house leadership

How to express interest

Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
  • Draft, review and negotiate various legal documents, contracts and agreements for all kinds of business operation, such as NDA, sales contract (including but not limited to dealer agreement and after‑sales agreement), purchase agreement, cooperation agreement, memorandum; maintain and update contract templates/precedents from time to time to improve the contract management process constantly.
  • Participate in the qualification review of potential business partner(s), including but not limited to the qualification of dealer, compliance review and etc.
  • Legal support on the regulatory compliance issues, such as trade compliance, data protection, merger filing, international sanction, anti‑bribery and etc.
  • Human resource related legal support, including but not limited to deal with dispute with employee(s), provide opinion on labor law.
  • Select, manages and supervises external lawyers, ensures high quality of external legal support in an effective and efficient manner (including cost‑efficiency).
  • Perform legal analysis and provide legal advice on dispute resolution and/or quality claims etc.
  • Work closely with the operation/project team to proactively support a wide range of transactions.
  • Other legal responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • LLB or LLM from a reputable international law school or equivalent.
  • Admission to Local market or equivalent will be a plus.
  • Excellent oral/written English and Spanish skills.
  • 3-7 years post qualification experience in corporate general and dispute resolution, preferably working experience in MNC from manufacturing industry or automotive industry.
  • Demonstrated excellent legal knowledge and business understanding for detailed and results orientated solutions, and strong communication & negotiation skills with clients, colleagues, and government officials.
  • Mature personality with proactive attitude, high integrity and self‑motivation, and ability to work and judge efficiently and autonomously under pressure.
The position will include the following tasks
  • Manage and lead all kinds of projects related to Anti-Trust investigations including RFIs.
  • Provide advice to the management and business team on all aspects of antitrust compliance.
  • Provide advice on the implementation and impact of the DMA.
  • Assess current and future business models from an Anti-Trust perspective.
  • Plan, organize and implement the European Anti-Trust Compliance Program.
  • Provide Anti-Trust Compliance trainings on a regular basis.
  • Provide leadership and support on a wide variety of Anti-Trust matters.
  • Constant monitoring and learning of new trends and laws.
Candidate Profile
  • Experienced lawyer with at least 4 years PQE.
  • Experience in advising on complex Anti‑Trust matters/investigations.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills in English.
  • Strong commercial sense and pragmatism.
  • Ability to multi‑task, prioritize and handle tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work precisely and flexibly at the same time.
