Veolia seeks a Health & Safety Technician to join its QHSE team in Spain. You will support the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of our Health & Safety Management System across industrial activities.

The role focuses on risk assessments, safety inspections, incident investigations and delivering H&S training, with a strong emphasis on shop-floor presence and collaboration with production and engineering teams. English B2 required and autonomy on site.

Formación

• Official Intermediate Level Qualification in Occupational Risk Prevention, per Spanish legislation.
• 1–2 years of Health & Safety experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• English level: minimum B2, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Support the implementation of occupational health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with Spanish legislation and company standards.
• Carry out workplace risk assessments and support preventive and corrective actions.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and participate in internal audits.
• Support incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and proposing preventive actions.
• Deliver and coordinate H&S training and awareness activities for employees.
• Monitor the use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and other departments to promote a strong safety culture.
• Coordinate and follow-up external prevention services and other H&S-related suppliers.
• Maintain H&S documentation, records, indicators and reports.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the QHSE department.

Job Description

We are looking for a H&S Technician to join our QHSE team.

The successful candidate will support the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the company's Health & Safety Management System across our industrial and manufacturing activities.

• Monitoring the use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Official Intermediate Level Qualification in Occupational Risk Prevention, in accordance with Spanish legislation.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in Health & Safety, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Good understanding of Spanish occupational health and safety legislation and basic risk assessment methodologies.
• Ability to work autonomously on the shop floor while effectively collaborating with different departments and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, practical and hands-on approach, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• English level: minimum B2, both written and spoken.
