A luxury hotel in the Balearic Islands is seeking a Guest Service Agent Trainee to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency. The role includes managing communications, guest preferences, and providing excellent service throughout the guest journey. Ideal candidates are proactive, possess excellent organizational skills, and speak fluent English, with Spanish as a plus. Internship includes an allowance, accommodation, and wellness activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Ownership

As a Guest Services Agent Trainee, I will perform the following key tasks:

  • Handle all incoming telephone and email communications, ensuring they are promptly and appropriately redirected or actioned.
  • Conduct pre-arrival communication with guests to ensure a seamless and personalized arrival experience.
  • Accurately record and update all guest preferences in the relevant systems, enabling operational teams to prepare and exceed guest expectations.
  • Stay fully informed about all hotel activities and offerings, providing up-to-date information to guests, making bookings directly, or liaising with the Concierge when necessary.
  • Maintain impeccable telephone etiquette while adapting communication style to each guest, ensuring they feel comfortable and well cared for.
  • Play an active role throughout all stages of the guest journey, demonstrating a strong understanding of internal processes and adherence to LQA Standards.
  • Efficiently manage multiple systems and platforms simultaneously while handling various guest-related information.
  • Oversee the correct use of the Six Senses App for in-house guest communication and monitor the timely completion of all pending tasks.

Program length: minimum 5 months.

Skills and Experience

To execute the position of Guest Service Agent Trainee, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills.
Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems and LQA standards.

I am a personally involved, visible and proactive host with excellent organizational skills. I have an intuitive sense of product and service quality, a passion for excellence and an understanding of the sophisticated needs of the luxury customer and I have experience and I am able to work in a cross-cultural environment positively.

I have an excellent command of written and spoken English. Spanish is a plus.

I will maintain a thorough understanding of Six Senses in terms of guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities and services.
