Sun Chemical in Badalona, Spain, is seeking a Global Supply Planner (EMEA) to manage supply and inventory for European product lines. The role collaborates with operations, logistics, manufacturing, and demand planning to balance service, cost, and inventory targets.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • 5+ years of supply chain planning experience in a chemical setting.
  • Strong analytical, data management, and Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsabilidades

  • Manage supply plans and inventory targets for European product lines.
  • Develop production forecasts and rough-cut capacity plans.
  • Define global network strategies with logistics and commercial teams.
  • Resolve capacity constraints and material shortages with expeditious actions.
  • Support product launches and transitions with master data updates.
  • Lead S&OP process reviews and drive risk mitigation actions.
  • Monitor performance, inventory health, and service metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance supply chain performance.

Global Supply Planner (EMEA)

Work Location: Hybrid role, based in Badalona, Spain

Job Summary

The Global Supply Planner (EMEA) is responsible for supply planning and inventory management for assigned product lines manufactured in Europe and distributed through global supply networks. This role ensures reliable customer service by aligning demand forecasts, production capacity, inventory targets, and distribution strategies across multiple regions.

Acting as a key supply chain partner, the Global Supply Planner collaborates with operations, logistics, commercial, manufacturing, and demand planning teams to balance customer service, inventory investment, supply continuity, and operational efficiency. The position operates with a high degree of independence, provides subject matter expertise, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across global supply planning processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage supply plans and inventory targets for assigned product lines across the European central distribution hub, including inbound material requirements and dormant or slow-moving inventory.
  • Utilize demand forecasts to develop production-focused forecasts and rough-cut capacity plans in partnership with operations and regional supply teams.
  • Collaborate with logistics, operations, and commercial teams to define global network strategies, including shipping modes, supply frequency, lead times, and inventory requirements.
  • Identify and resolve capacity constraints and material shortages, including coordinating material reallocations, resupply activities, and expedited shipment approvals when needed.
  • Support product launches, discontinuations, and product transitions, including related master data updates to minimize customer disruption and inventory obsolescence.
  • Lead supply review activities within the S&OP process by providing recommendations, highlighting supply and demand imbalances, preparing performance metrics, and driving risk mitigation actions.
  • Monitor supply chain performance, inventory health, and service metrics; identify opportunities for improvement and support proactive issue resolution across the network.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and customer-facing supply chain teams to support business objectives and enhance supply chain performance.
Qualifications
Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Required Experience
  • 5+ years of supply chain planning experience, preferably within a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced supply chain planning tools.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and data management skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, graphing, and data analysis.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP experience.
  • Kinaxis experience.
  • Power BI experience.
  • APICS (CPIM, CSCP) or similar supply chain certification.
