Job summary

IFF is seeking an Insurance & Risk Intern to support the Global Risk & Insurance team in Oviedo. The role offers hands‑on experience in renewals, data analytics, risk reporting, and documentation within a multinational setting.

The internship is Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) with a monthly allowance of €800 gross. The program targets finance, risk management, or economics students and reports to the Director, Risk & Insurance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related field.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with annual insurance renewals across multiple lines.
• Support data collection and validation for underwriting submissions.
• Review policies, schedules and endorsements for accuracy.
• Track certificates of insurance and liaise with brokers.
• Process insurance premium invoices and ensure timely payment.
• Develop and maintain risk registers and ERM platform.
• Analyze exposure data (property, BI, supply chain).
• Contribute to risk assessments and scenario analyses.
• Support projects like captive/alternative risk financing.
• Prepare reports and dashboards (Excel/PowerPoint) for stakeholders.
• Assist with claims tracking and loss analysis.
• Benchmark market trends, pricing, and regulatory considerations.
