The role

As SoftwareOne's Global Microsoft Center of Excellence, we identify new business opportunities and work closely with our strategic partner, Microsoft, to design innovative, efficient technology solutions. We stay ahead of technology trends, define best practices, and create architectures to accelerate solution delivery and provide faster time-to-value for our customers. Responsible for global delivery and (Pre-) sales, we define training and enablement requirements across 19 locations, impacting over a thousand employees. As a credible voice in the Microsoft space, we share our expertise at industry events and webinars. As Global Product Architect for Azure Infra & Migrations, you will be responsible for creating best practices, delivering blueprints, and innovative approaches for solutions and services within the Microsoft CoE, reporting directly to our Microsoft CoE Leader.

Combining your strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Infra & Migrations with a profound understanding of the market, you will anticipate demand and innovate on behalf of customers, driving a clear and differentiated SoftwareOne value proposition in synergy with all of SoftwareOne’s capabilities and services. You will work closely with the Global Product Manager for Microsoft Azure Infra & Migrations, who is accountable for the product roadmap, go-to-market strategies, and sales enablement. Additionally, you will partner with the Demand & Capture organization to help define business cases, formally capture market signals, and accelerate investment and partnership decisions.

Responsibilities

• Product Design & Innovation: Drive the creation of repeatable Microsoft Azure & Migrations solutions and accelerators, capitalizing on ongoing projects and partnership with Microsoft to package powerful offerings accelerating time-to-value for SoftwareOne customers.
• Strategic Partnership Management: Own the technology collaboration with Microsoft, including the realization of joint Azure Infra & Migrations offerings, ensuring our offerings are at the forefront of technology and market needs.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with internal Centres of Excellence and service units to promote integration and synergy across our Azure Infra & Migrations initiatives, ensuring a cohesive approach to solution development and delivery.
• Product & Delivery Strategy: Define and implement delivery and product strategies that align with our corporate goals, driving growth and thought leadership.
• Delivery Excellence: Elevate our delivery efforts by being a trusted advisor in the development of proposals, solution designs, and architectures, particularly for strategic customers and significant deals. Create demos, POCs, and pre-sales artifacts that underscore our value proposition.
• Advanced Advisories: Lead our Azure Advisory services, employing our established methodology and delivery toolkit, while continuously refining our practices based on market trends and feedback.
• SoftwareOne Microsoft Azure & Migrations Portfolio Development: Nurture the development of our portfolio, setting global delivery standards and integrating repeatable components to stay ahead of technological advancements.
• Delivery Enablement & Thought Leadership: Design delivery and pre-sales enablement initiatives, providing expertise and knowledge transfer to enhance delivery effectiveness. Establish thought leadership through contributions to industry consortia and presence at industry events.

Qualifications

• Long-standing experience in the space of Microsoft and Azure as a Solution Architect or Professional Services Leader.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with cutting edge and legacy Microsoft technologies and methodologies such as Windows Server, Linux, Hyper-V, VMWare, Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS, Entra, Azure Security.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Cloud technology and products including relevant technical certifications.
• Experience in Cloud Migrations.
• Knowledge of architectural best practices such as WAF, CAF and TOGAF.
• Experience in service delivery model design and execution.
• Familiarity with Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence) for documentation and product management.
• Experience of working in or with Sales, Pre-Sales and Professional Services roles; Understanding of their tools, targets and motivations.
• A track record of successful and failed projects, product and professional service offerings in the domain of Azure and Migrations.
• Extensive experience with multiple relevant technologies. Current hands-on experience with latest Cloud and Azure technologies.
• A strong public speaker, demonstrating a credible history of on-stage and social media presence.
• Language Skills: English language skills (C1+)
