Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Network Infrastructure Construction Quality Engineer to lead QA programs for data center network infrastructure projects. You will review designs, define acceptance criteria, and collaborate with construction teams to ensure builds meet design and safety standards.

You will also develop QA documentation, train teams, monitor installations, and analyze metrics to drive continuous improvements. Some travel to sites will be required to validate quality in the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in network pathway infrastructure design or installation in data centers.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
• Experience in root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.
• Experience conducting quality inspections in live data centers with contractors and stakeholders.
• Experience taking concepts through design, deployment, or mass production.

Responsibilities

• Own Quality Assurance programs to drive world-class quality in data center network infrastructure.
• Review cable tray designs against policies and industry standards and define acceptance checklists for each build milestone.
• Coordinate with Construction Management to ensure network pathway infrastructures are built according to design documents and milestones.
• Capture requirement variants between approved design and physical installation and close gaps in installation methods.
• Define and maintain QA documents including inspection checklists and installation requirements.
• Monitor installations and collect lessons learned on network pathway quality.
• Define QA training programs and materials to support construction teams.
• Define quality metrics and analytics to drive improvements and inform decisions.
• Travel up to 25% for site visits and onsite reviews.
