Job summary

ALTEN Delivery Centre Spain is seeking a seasoned Data Architect & Data Modeler for an international project. You will lead landscape analyses, data modeling, and platform governance to unify data across instruments and vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in Data Architecture & Modeling with leadership in scientific, biotech, pharma or advanced R&D digital transformation.
• Hands-on experience with Allotrope Framework (AFO, ASM, ADM, ADF) and FAIR data principles.
• Snowflake and AWS expertise.
• Data Product & Domain Modeling: proficient in Data Mesh, Kimball dimensional modeling, Data Vault 2.0, modeling core entities.

Responsibilities

• Map current data stores, inputs/outputs, APIs, and data silos across discovery.
• Assess toolchain, data standards, interoperability, and data lineage.
• Decide legacy repository strategy: keep, migrate, or convert to standard data layers.
• Operationalize semantic standards.
• Establish models using ASM/ADM/ADF for instruments (LC/MS, HPLC, etc.).
• Create vocabularies, metadata registries, and semantic mappings.
• Design a hybrid multi-domain data platform bridging core platforms with domain repos.
• Model domain entities into Data Products (Experiment, Sample, Instrument, Instrument Raw Data).
• Define data governance personas and enable data scientists with semantic layers and APIs.
• Deliver end-to-end from architecture diagrams to production deployment and training.
