A dynamic tech company based in Madrid, Spain, is looking for an experienced accounting professional to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and oversee accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, and 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance. Familiarity with Spanish accounting practices and strong skills in Excel and English are essential. The role offers relocation support for candidates moving to the Canary Islands and includes perks such as private health insurance.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, employee expenses, and vendor invoices.
• Ensure accurate coding of accounting entries and maintain organized financial records.
• Assist with VAT filings, tax compliance, and audit preparation.
• Operations, HR) to ensure data accuracy.
• Liaise with external accountants and tax advisors as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• ~1-2 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or audit.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and financial statements.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills; Excellent English communication; Spanish is a strong plus.
• Experience in tech, fintech, or SaaS.
• Familiarity with Spanish accounting / tax practices.
