Job summary

IQVIA MedTech CFS is seeking a Field Service Engineer/Technician for Spain. The role involves installing, testing, and supporting automated medication dispensing hardware across healthcare facilities, with travel across local, regional and national areas.

You will work with engineers, project managers and healthcare staff, with training provided and credentials required. This position requires flexibility (per-diem and assignment-based) and the ability to travel up to 100%.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of experience in electronics, hardware, software or mechanical fields.
• English and Spanish/Portuguese language skills are required.
• Comfort with basic software programs and Microsoft operating systems.
• Ability to work with design engineers, project managers & healthcare personnel.
• Must clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements including immunization status.

Our MedTech Field Service Engineers experience a unique opportunity to employ their technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and leading technical initiatives in medical device technology.
You will be responsible for installing hardware for automated medication dispensing systems within healthcare facilities throughout. This position requires you to travel 100% locally, regionally, and nationally. Due to the travel, the role requires open availability Monday through Friday. Work is assignment based, with a typical week including 16-30 hours worked, plus travel time.

Job Responsibilities

• Organizing, testing, and assembling automated medication dispensing systems; all tasks revolve around installing and configuring hardware, software and mechanical medical devices.
• Review of schematics / drawings, documentation, and logistics to support installation activities.
• Conduct routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with quality compliance requirements.
• Partner with a team of support staff, manage project timelines and customer needs.
• Training for this role will be provided and is paid

Required Qualifications

• Bachillarrito Diploma is required
• Minimum 1 year related electronics, hardware, software or mechanical experience required.
• English and Spanish/Portuguese is required
• Professional business acumen and communication skills required.
• Must be comfortable with basic software programs and Microsoft operating systems.
• Ability to work with design engineers, project managers & healthcare personnel to identify equipment layout, operations, and workflow required.
• Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status, required.
• Position may/will require up to date immunizations.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds required.

Schedule

• Per-diem, assignment-based position requiring travel and open flexibility.

Travel Requirement

• An active and unrestricted driver's license is required.
• Will have a personal vehicle and willing to use it for job related assignments.
• Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally weekly to support customer needs required.
• Needs to be located within 20 km of a major airport.
• Travel, and your time traveling is paid, as is mileage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Military veterans with experience in electronics related MOS are encouraged to apply!
• Ability to work independently in customer settings with minimal supervision.
