Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) invites applications for a Research Technician with a genetics and bioinformatics background to work on NGS data analysis and interpretation in Barcelona.

You will join the Infection and Immunity in Paediatric Patients Research Group, focusing on high-throughput data from patients with immune and hematologic disorders. The role involves hands-on data processing and collaborative study design.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Biosciences or related field.
• Master's degree related to Bioinformatics, Genetics, Omics or similar.
• Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English.

Responsabilidades

• Perform NGS analysis from Fastq to VCF on gene panels, WES, short and long read WGS.
• Manage internal databases (raw data and metadata).
• Perform data interpretation following standardised criteria.
• Perform advanced genetic analysis from raw data (CNV calling, somatic variant calling, etc).
