The Department of Applied Physics at the University of Barcelona offers a 4-year fully funded PhD position (FPI) under the BEACON project, funded by AEI. The project focuses on developing advanced optical instrumentation for super-resolution fluorescence microscopy, including AOD-based MINFLUX and RESOLFT parallelization, with an emphasis on experimental work and system development.

Ideal candidates hold an MSc in Physics, Photonics, Optical Engineering or related fields, with a strong interest

Formación

• MSc in Physics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in experimental optics and photonics.
• Programming skills (Python, MATLAB or similar) are desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and characterize optical systems for fluorescence imaging.
• Advance AOD-based MINFLUX and RESOLFT parallelization in experiments.
• Work primarily in an experimental setting within a microscopy context.
