Role Description

This is a hybrid flexible location open for working remotely from Cataluña, Zaragoza or Madrid with availability for biweekly in-person meetings in Barcelona . We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who thrives across the stack — mainly focused on designing and build robust back-end systems and cloud architectures but also with skills for integrating front-end features and interfaces . You’ll be responsible for building core components of the Connectoma platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and contributing to multi-cloud perspectives with Azure. This is a hands‑on and architectural role where you’ll influence technical decisions and ensure scalability, performance, and security.

What You Will Do

• Build, scale, and maintain applications with technologies such as Python / Node.js (back-end) and React, TypeScript, Next or Vue (front-end) .
• Configure and manage GCP services : Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine, Firestore, Pub / Sub, Cloud Batch.
• Implement cloud security : IAM, CMEK encryption, Firebase authentiation & Firestore access rules .
• Manage CI / CD pipelines using GitLab & Cloud Build , and IaC with Terraform .
• Design and optimize RESTful / GraphQL APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to bring ML models into production.
• Translate mockups and wireframes into functional components with attention to usability and accessibility.
• Contribute to our front‑end apps, like the Patients & Doctors dashboards and the Admin Console.
• Prototype quickly while ensuring long‑term scalability and reliability.

What We Are Looking For

• 3–6 years of experience as a full stack developer.
• Strong back‑end skills in Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask) and Node.js .
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI / CD .
• Hands‑on experience with GCP architecture and services.
• Strong grasp of DevOps principles , CI / CD pipelines, GitLab and Terraform .
• Solid knowledge of databases (SQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency in React / Angular + TypeScript .
• Familiarity with front‑end styling ( HTML, CSS, Javascript )
• High proficiency in Spanish & English.
• Based in Spain , with Spanish work permit.
• Availability for biweekly in‑person meetings in Barcelona .

Nice‑To‑Have Qualifications

• Experience designing / deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure .
• Professional certifications (GCP or Azure).
• Familiarity with EU MDR, ISO 13485, IEC 62304 .
• Experience with MATLAB toolboxes and integration.
• Knowledge of DICOM medical imaging standards .
