Job summary

Zartis is seeking a Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to join our distributed team. You will design and implement production-grade services in Java Spring Boot, with an emphasis on scalable APIs, data modeling, and robust cloud infrastructure.

You will collaborate across product and engineering, practice DevOps, and contribute to an observability framework using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Datadog. This remote role offers flexible hours and a path for career growth.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java Spring Boot backend development.
• Experience modelling NoSQL data stores (Mongo).
• Strong knowledge of distributed event processing (Kafka).

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer (Backend focused) to work on a project in the fashion and lifestyle omnichannel industry.

You will be part of a distributed team developing new technologies to solve real business problems and add some specific context here.

We are looking for someone with good communication skills, ideally with experience making decisions, being proactive, used to building software from scratch, and with good attention to detail.

What you will do:

• Responsible for the customer account area and customer support tool for internal departments.

• Experienced with Agile methods and values, such as Kanban, shift left, iterative delivery, and self-organizing, cross-functional teams

• Comfortable with open communication, collaboration, and a strong feedback culture

• Can work independently to translate business requirements from scratch into end-to-end production-grade solutions.

• Team player - willingness to continuously share knowledge and prevent silos

• Passion for Agentic Engineering

What you will bring:

• Expert at web development using JAVA Spring Boot

• Database modelling & data handling at production level (NoSQL, Document based database eg. Mongo)

• Experience with Distributed Event Processing platform like Kafka

• Strong understanding of API design - RESTful principles, versioning, documentation (e.g. OpenAPI/Swagger)

• Hands-on experience with managing infrastructure - AWS (or any cloud provider), Containerization (Docker), Creating & managing deployments in Kubernetes Cluster, Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform

• Strong understanding of software development - clean code, refactoring, test pyramid

• Strong understanding of architecture design and software design patterns - Hexagonal architecture, Domain driven design, Saga

• Devops - Version Control using Gitlab, CI/CD, Automated Testing, Monitoring & Observability

• Maintaining a medium-sized, production-grade service using an advanced observability platform like Datadog and handling incidents

Nice to have:

• Frontend skills - Vue, Flutter
