For the ERC-funded research project 'Adaptation to Climate Change in Developing Countries', ICREA Professor Paula Bustos seeks to hire a part-time research assistant starting in September 2025.
The research assistant will perform data analysis, statistical and census data analysis, and programming (full details below).
Location: Barcelona, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Ciutadella Campus, Department of Economics and Business. Work will be carried out on campus.
EU's Horizon Europe programme, European Research Council Consolidator grant 'Adaptation to Climate Change in Developing Countries', 2024–2029.
This project studies the effects of climate change on labour and capital flows in developing countries using micro-data from Brazil.
Prof. Paula Bustos (PhD Harvard) is an ICREA Research Professor at UPF and Affiliated Professor of the Barcelona School of Economics (BSE). She is also a Research Fellow at the European Economic Association, Chair of the EEA Women in Economics Committee, CEPR Research Fellow, and co-leader of the Trade and Spatial Frictions Theme of the STEG-CEPR program.
