Ookla, an Accenture company, is seeking a highly organized Financial Accountant to own core financial operations. The role covers GL, reconciliations, AP/AR, cash flow, tax compliance, and year-end closing, including FINGAAP statements.

The ideal candidate will manage payments, ensure accurate month-end processes, and maintain strict adherence to local statutory and tax requirements. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

Formación

• 3-5 years general accounting experience.
• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• suomi.fi authorisation to act with Finnish authorities.
• Experience building globally-distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of accounting best practices.
• Expertise in VAT and tax.
• Comfortable learning and working with new technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and a self-driven work ethic.

Responsabilidades

• General Ledger & Reconciliations: prepare recurring monthly journals incl. bank fees, currency transfers (USD to EUR), net salaries, tax payments, refunds and VAT/tax journals.
• Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable: manage end-to-end AP, vendor bills, VAT codes and reconciliations.
• Cash Flow Management & Payment Processing: oversee daily bank statements and process outgoing payments; handle intercompany transfers.
• Tax Compliance, Statutory Reporting & Year-End Closing: VAT processes, local statutory reporting, year-end closing and FINGAAP statements.
• Payroll & Employee Expense Management: approve travel and expense claims; process pay slips and taxable allowances.
