INBRAIN is seeking a senior Finance & Accounting professional to own key financial operations in Barcelona, guiding monthly closes, reporting, and SAP FI activities. You will partner with cross‑functional teams, drive controls, and support SAP transformations with an eye to future leadership as the company grows.

You should have 5+ years in accounting/finance, SAP FI expertise, and strong Excel skills, with English fluency. This is an individual contributor role with growth into leadership.

Your Mission

You will own key accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient processes. You'll serve as a trusted partner across the business while playing a critical role in our SAP transformation journey. While this is initially an individual contributor position, the role is designed with future team leadership responsibilities in mind as INBRAIN continues to grow.

What You'll Do

Own Financial Operations and Reporting

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
• Manage accounting activities including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger reviews.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting.
• Review payroll accounting, employee expenses, and financial postings.
• Prepare financial analyses and reporting for finance leadership.

Drive Compliance & Controls

• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Maintain strong accounting controls and compliance with company policies.
• Support tax reporting and VAT-related activities with external advisors.
• Identify and proactively address financial, accounting, or compliance risks.

Lead Systems & Process Excellence

• Act as the Finance Key User for SAP FI, supporting testing, data validation, issue resolution, and go-live activities.
• Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain finance procedures, documentation, and control frameworks.
• Support ERP enhancements and reporting improvements.

Partner Across the Business

• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, People, and other teams to resolve accounting matters.
• Translate financial data into clear insights and management reporting.
• Support decision-making through accurate, actionable financial information.
• Contribute to cost analysis, budgeting activities, and operational finance projects.

What We're Looking For

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting and finance experience.
• Ideally, 2+ years of team management.
• Strong experience leading month-end close, financial reporting, and audit processes.
• Hands-on expertise in accounting operations, reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger management.
• Proven SAP FI Key User experience is required.
• Experience supporting SAP implementations, testing, data validation, and go-live activities.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge.
• Fluent English.

• Ability to turn complex financial data into meaningful business insights.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to challenge, interpret, and explain financial results to senior stakeholders.
