Job summary

Ralliant seeks a Field Application Engineer to support customers across automotive, power electronics, semiconductors, and AI. You will deliver technical consultative assistance, integrate solutions into customer workflows, and collaborate with local account teams to drive business in Spain and Portugal.

You will partner with the Regional FAE Manager to influence product updates and roadmaps, demonstrate Tektronix instruments, and train internal staff and partners.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in electronics or similar with strong test & measurement knowledge.
• Proficiency with test equipment and instrumentation control.
• Knowledge of automotive/test applications (IVN, ADAS, EV) and power electronics testing.
• Experience with programming languages and instrumentation control (e.g. Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, C++/C#).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical consultative assistance on automotive, power, and semiconductor test requirements.
• Consult on and support optimized software routines in automation scenarios.
• Ensure installation, training, and ongoing technical support of solutions.
• Build relationships with key accounts through world-class technical consultation.
• Support competitive analysis and contribute to marketing objectives with domain knowledge.
• Train internal sales and partner network and become versed in Tektronix portfolio.

About The Role:

Our application engineering teams support and enable our customers to create the next technology breakthroughs in datacenter, automotive, Aerospace & Defense, AI, IoT, semiconductor, power electronics, and wireless technologies.

Your role as an Field Application Engineer will have three primary responsibilities. Firstly, deliver high-quality, technical, consultative support to our customers and integrating our solutions into customers' workflows, to ensure a work class experience. Secondly, to partner with local account management and Marketing teams execute deliver business plans in large strategic accounts and opportunities to ensure the commercial success of the Company in your territory. And finally, leverage field and market knowledge to ensure critical product and feature updates are developed for our customers as well as influencing future roadmap direction.

As Field Application Engineering you report to the Regional FAE Manager in the Commercial organization of Tektronix.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical consultative assistance to our customers on their test requirements in automotive, power, and semiconductor applications by present and demonstrate technology solutions to customers including all hardware, software, and service offerings.
• Consult on and support our customers in the creation of optimized software routines in automation scenarios for our customers.
• Ensure installation, training, and acceptance of solutions into our customers' workflows, and give continuing technical support to these systems
• Work with account management teams to build intimate relationship with our key accounts by delivering world-class technical consultation to our customers.
• Support the investigation and understanding of our competitors and how to sell against them using our unique value.
• Support the training to internal sales associates and our partner network.
• Assist marketing objectives by leveraging domain knowledge to deliver both virtual and face-to-face marketing content.
• Become well versed in the full Tektronix portfolio including oscilloscopes, arbitrary waveform generators, spectrum analyzers, source measurement units, digital multimeters, etc...

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

• Technical Degree e.g. Electronic Engineering or similar field with a strong knowledge of Test & Measurement, RF, automotive, power electronics, semiconductors
• Proficiency with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes & probes, arbitrary waveform generators, multimeters, source measurement units & power supplies.
• Knowledge of automotive test and applications associated with IVN, ADAS, EV and Body; and/or a knowledge of power electronics testing such as power conversion, wide bandgap testing, battery testing or power integrity, and/or motor drive analysis
• Preferred to have knowledge & experience of programming languages and instrumentation control (i. e. Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, C++/C#)

The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate the following:

• Flexibility and mobility within Spain & Portugal
• Readiness to work in the international environment
• Fluency in Spanish and English, Portuguese is a plus
