MediaMarktSaturn Technology seeks a data engineer to identify, design, and deploy data analysis solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders. You will build and refine scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on Google Cloud, and model data in BigQuery to support analytics such as category performance and pricing strategy.

The role involves leading design discussions, mentoring junior engineers, and driving best practices within a cross-functional team.

• 3–5 years hands-on experience as data engineer building data analysis solutions.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on GCP.
• Expertise in BigQuery data modeling for analytics like category performance, pricing, and assortment optimization.

Your Tasks

Your Tasks

• Identify and refine issues that can be solved with data analysis solutions in close collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Implement data analysis solutions from conceptual design, data preparation, testing to operationalization and deployment as part of a cross-disciplinary team of data scientists, data engineers and software developers.
• Continuously improve the implemented solutions.
• Perform ad hoc analysis as requested by key stakeholders

Your Profile

• 3-5 years of hands‑on experience as data engineer building solutions for data analysis.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and cost‑efficient ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP services (e.g., Dataflow, Pub/Sub, BigQuery).
• Expertise in BigQuery data modeling, supporting complex analytics for business use cases such as category performance, pricing strategy, and assortment optimization.
• Deep understanding of GCP architecture and services; ideally Google Cloud Certified.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code, ideally with GitHub Actions and Terraform.
• Ability to lead design discussions, review code, and mentor junior engineers — someone who can provide technical leadership and ensure best practices.
• Highly motivated, results‑oriented, with excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken, to articulate complex concepts clearly.
