Job summary

Sales Layer is seeking a VP of Product to own the platform's vision, roadmap and prioritisation. You will report to the CEO and join the executive leadership team, leading Product and Design and collaborating with Engineering to shape a data-driven AI-enabled product.

You will champion product strategy, guide architecture discussions at a high level, and connect product decisions to customer value, pricing and margins.

Qualifications

• Experience with APIs, integrations and how they connect to customer systems.
• Ability to reason about architecture, cost, maintainability and long-term constraints.
• Minimum 8 years in software product roles, incl. 3+ years leading a product team.
• Experience delivering B2B software to large enterprises with complex data models and long cycles.
• Strong business judgement around profitability, pricing, retention and competitive positioning.
• An informed view on how AI changes a product like ours and what to build.
• Evidence of UX/UI judgement to review prototypes and guide design.
• Experience documenting progress, decisions and risks for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and defend the product vision and roadmap to the executive team and board.
• Decide what gets built, paused or changed direction with clear criteria.
• Connect product decisions to segments, pricing and margins.
• Lead the evolution of the AI product offering.
• Oversee PRDs and feasibility with the Tech team.
• Lead Product and UX/UI Design teams and coordinate with Engineering.
• Manage API lifecycle and ecosystem integrations.
• Make data-driven decisions by analyzing usage and customer feedback.
• Meet with international customers and partners and represent the product externally.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales on launches and positioning.
• Provide regular progress updates to the CEO.
