Envision is seeking a Remote Control Centre Engineer to ensure optimal performance of global BESS and onshore wind fleets. The role operates in a 24/7 shift system, handling advanced remote interventions via SCADA and serving as the escalation point for turbine failures to minimize downtime.

Requirements include 3–5 years in BESS or wind energy operations, experience with major turbine platforms or BESS OEMs, strong English skills, and a safety-first mindset.

Formación

• Education: Degree or higher vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Automation, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: 3–5 years in BESS and/or Wind energy operations, with remote-control centre experience or senior turbine/BESS technician background.
• OEM Expertise: Experience with major onshore wind turbine platforms or BESS manufacturers and SCADA software from OEMs.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in renewables technology, analysing technical logs, reading electrical diagrams.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving under high-pressure scenarios, assertive communication and a safety-first mindset.
• Languages: Professional proficiency in English; knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, French or German is a strong asset.

Responsabilidades

• Advanced Monitoring: Escalation point for complex faults, real-time onshore wind farm operations and performance.
• SCADA-Based Troubleshooting: Use SCADA systems and proprietary software for deep-dive diagnostics on persistent errors, curtailments, and shutdowns.
• Remote Intervention & Resets: Execute advanced remote-control sequences, safety resets, restarts, and curtailments for grid compliance and turbine efficiency.
• Incident Management: Coordinate critical alerts, liaise with back offices and on-site technicians during outages or grid constraints.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyze recurrent fault patterns, document resolutions, mentor operators, and contribute to LEAN initiatives.

Role Overview

As a Remote Control Centre (RCC) Engineer, you will ensure the optimal performance of global BESS and onshore wind farm fleets. Operating in a 24/7 shift system, you will handle advanced technical troubleshooting, execute complex remote interventions via SCADA, and serve as the escalation point for critical turbine failures to minimize downtime and secure high asset availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Monitoring: Act as escalation point for complex technical faults, managing real-time onshore wind farm operations and performance.
• SCADA-Based Troubleshooting: Utilize high-tier SCADA systems and proprietary software to perform deep-dive technical diagnostics on persistent errors, curtailments, and unexpected shutdowns.
• Remote Intervention & Resets: Execute advanced remote-control sequences, safety resets, synchronized restarts, and curtailments ensuring maximum grid compliance and turbine efficiency.
• Incident Management: Coordinate critical alerts, lead the communication with back offices and / or on-site field technicians, and liaise with Service management during planned or emergency outages or grid constraints.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyse recurrent fault patterns, document complex resolutions in the knowledge base, and mentor junior operators to improve overall team efficiency. Assist in RCAs and contribute to our LEAN initiatives.

Shift Schedule

• 24/7 Shift Rotation: Willingness to work a continuous shift pattern (including nights, weekends, and public holidays) to guarantee round-the-clock fleet protection.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree or higher vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Automation, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in BESS and/or Wind energy operations, with a proven track record in a remote-control centre or as a Senior Wind Turbine or BESS Technician.
• OEM Expertise: Experience with major onshore wind turbine platforms or major BESS manufacturers and SCADA software from OEMs or commercial platforms.
• Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in renewables technology, analysing technical logs, reading electrical diagrams.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills under high-pressure scenarios, assertive communication, and a strong safety-first mindset.
• Languages: Professional proficiency in English is required. Spanish, Portuguese, French or German are a strong asset. Other languages will be also considered.
