Amazon is looking for a Manager II, Operations to lead a team within our fulfillment network. In this role, you will manage daily operations across your assigned area, driving performance through your frontline leadership team while maintaining the highest standards for safety and associate experience. You will use data to identify trends, solve problems, and implement process improvements that directly impact how we deliver for customers. Key job responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of frontline leaders and associates, creating development plans, delivering actionable feedback, and building a culture where every team member feels valued and supported in their growth.
• Own safety outcomes for your area by modeling protocols, conducting regular safety walks, analyzing safety metrics, and ensuring your team prioritizes safe practices in every decision.
• Analyze operational data across shifts to identify trends, diagnose systemic issues, and implement solutions that improve productivity, quality, and efficiency within your department.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including safety, human resources, and learning teams to align on site-wide goals and drive initiatives that strengthen overall operational performance.
• Plan and adjust staffing, resources, and processes to meet changing business demands, making sound decisions in ambiguous situations while keeping your team informed and engaged.

A day in the life

You will start your day reviewing safety metrics and operational dashboards before leading a pre-shift meeting with your frontline leaders. From there, you will spend time on the floor coaching associates, observing processes, and addressing real-time challenges. You will partner with support teams to resolve escalations, review performance data to adjust plans for the shift, and hold development conversations with your direct reports to help them build their leadership capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience in people management
• Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
• Experience using data to influence business decisions
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or above

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen)
• Experience in a logistics/operations environment
• Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
• Experience designing or facilitating business review mechanisms
• Experience building operational playbooks, standard work, or process documentation
