Placements24 is seeking a proactive Data Security Specialist focused on compliance and privacy in a hybrid role based in León. You will implement data security controls, conduct impact assessments, and develop data protection policies.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in data security or privacy, knowledge of GDPR and related laws, and experience with encryption and DLP tools. Strong communication in English and Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in information security, computer science, law, or related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of data security, privacy, or compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR and equivalents) and risk-based approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Manage data loss prevention solutions and data security tools.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments for new projects and systems.
• Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, LGPD, local laws).
• Oversee encryption strategies and access control for sensitive data.
